Providing quality First Aid courses to SW Ontario since 1994!
NEWS
Jan. 13, 2021:
In regard to the latest province wide shutdown that was announced Jan 12th - YES, we are still running classes!
The following details are included in Enhancing Public Health and Workplace Safety Measures in the Provincewide Shutdown, a resource published by the Government of Ontario. In part, it says:
• In-person health and safety training is allowed (page 27)
• Class size is based on facility space (page 10)
• First Aid training is permitted (page 27)

Dec. 18, 2020:
Canadian Red Cross has made it mandatory effective March 2021 that each participant taking a course with a CPR component receive, use and be able to keep a new pocket mask and one way valve. LMac will implement this with all courses effective Jan 1st, 2021. We will also provide a training valve for use in class so that the mask & valve can be used in case of emergency at another time. In order to offset this new expense, there will be a minor increase in course prices for 2021.

Dec. 18, 2020:
Update from Candian Red Cross: Anyone with a Red Cross First Aid certificate that expires between March 1, 2020, and March 1, 2021, can attend a recertification course until March 31, 2021.

Oct. 15, 2020:
Canadian Red Cross has finally released their new Wilderness First Responder program!
After years of waiting, the Wilderness First Responder program has just been released by the Canadian Red Cross and will be available from LMac in January 2021!
While this course is generally taken by people who will be providing professional level First Aid, such as Search & Rescue services in a wilderness environment, it is also a great course for those who are applying for employment in a wilderness setting where a higher level of training is an advantage or for those with an interest in taking their Wilderness First Aid to the next level.
This course is a combination of the skills, knowledge and equipment that a First Responder would use in an urban setting and the longer term care abilities plus other skills that a Wilderness First Aider would use in a wilderness setting.
FOR ALL OUR CUSTOMERS REGARDING COVID19:
Yes... we have are still training both at our office as well as at clients' locations!
We have just updated our course calendars through to the end of March 2021. Our office is set up to meet social distancing protocols as well as requirements set out locally and provincially.
A few quick notes for participants:
1) Currently, all classes in our classroom are being limited to 8 participants so don't delay registering for a course you want as many are full well before the course date. If the course will be held at your facility then we can go higher as long as physical distancing requirements are met.
2) Due to limited class size we must have full payment to guarantee your spot.
3) Presently, we are not accepting cash payments - depending on the course you may pay by PayPal, E-Transfer or Corporate invoicing (pre-approved).
4) Face masks must be worn in the building & participants must bring their face own mask or purchase one for $2.00 upon arrival.
If necessary, an email will be sent to registered participants prior to their course with any additional information.
We are looking forward to working with our participants both new and returning!
We train you like the life you save will be ours!

Your work environment or geographical location may
affect the time you need to wait for emergency response and also affect the First Aid course you should be taking. The knowledge, critical thinking, and skills you gain from an LMac Community CPR course will aid you in caring for your family, friend or co-worker until medical aid arrives.
Our clients come from many fields including medical personnel (nurses, personal support workers, dentists & doctors), office staff, manufacturing, construction, skilled trades, Scouts/Guides and other youth groups. While most of them have different training needs, they all have one thing in common - they took the time to learn how to help someone else who requires First Aid - from a basic bandage to full CPR.
