CHILDCARE FIRST AID COURSE:

Anatomical splint of knee injury


NOTE: With the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) replacing the old "Day Nursery Act", anyone working at a Day Care is required to have the 2 day Standard First Aid.

This course is for individuals who care for infants or children in the workplace or at home. It covers skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, children, and babies, CPR Level C, AED, and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission.

Course length is approximately 8 hours which is usually 1 - 8 hr session but can also be done as 2 - 4 hr  sessions depending on the needs of the client.

Certification: Red Cross Emergency Child Care First Aid or Standard Child Care First Aid, AED & Level 'C' CPR. Valid for 3 years.
